Ilorin Nigeria Music

Popular music is dominant in the music landscape of Africa today, but academic study of popular music is still in its infancy in most parts of Africa. The Journal of Information on Popular Music is an international, multidisciplinary journal that covers all aspects of the compilation of a particular piece of music. This year, I will travel to eight major universities in Nigeria as part of a series of lectures and workshops on the topic of the current issue of the journal.
